Eight people were hospitalised this morning following a chemical leak at a pharmaceuticals plant in north county Dublin.  The incident occurred at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) factory in Swords at approximately 3.30am this morning.

According to a spokesperson for the plant, which is known locally as Swords Laboratories, the incident involved "a small localised chemical leak from a manufacturing vessel".
